When Mara Kaplan takes on a project,
it gets done! Whether she is writing a
grant proposal or building an entire
playground, she puts 150% of herself
into it and brings everyone else along
with her. When Mara first started
talking with people about razing and
rebuilding our playground, it seemed
like an impossible dream.

What was a dream one day became a plan the next day, a fundraising strategy
the next day, money in the bank the next day, and several weeks, 3 build days,
and nearly 300 volunteers later, voila, the new Community Day School
playground is built!
